Aims
Advanced English, a compulsory course for English majors at tertiary stage, is aimed at training students’ integrated language skills, especially listening, reading, writing and communication. While paying great attention to basic language knowledge, the course focuses on upgrading students’ integrated language proficiency through various and challenging exercises including listening, vocabulary study, reading comprehension, structure analysis, translating, speaking and writing.

Teaching and Learning
Lecture and presentations by the lecturer will be integrated with students centered in-class activities. The major classroom activities include discussion, presentation and speech. The homework mainly includes language drills, writing, translation, etc.
