In order to enhance the students’ listening proficiency and help them master some listening skills and strategies that they can make full use of during the listening process, instructor Zhou Luomei gave a lecture entitled “English Listening Skills and Strategies” on April, 28th, in RoomAA301.
Miss Zhou briefly introduced the major tasks in the three phases of listening process and the structure of a mini-lecture, and then she proceeded to elaborate on the usage of abbreviations while taking down the notes, the skills in dictation training, and the strategies to be used in the listening comprehension of CET-4 and CET-6.
During the lecture, Miss Zhou took advantage of some audio clips and video clips, which not only attracted the students, but also made them put what they have learned into practice.
