One-day Tour in the Cross-strait Fair for Economy and Trade

The Cross-strait Fair for Economy and Trade is an important platform for promoting cross-strait economy and trade as well as the reform and opening-up. It was my great honor to have the chance to visit the great exhibition with my teacher and classmates in outstanding class.

The Cross-strait Fair for Economy and Trade was held in Fuzhou. There were various booths range from domestic booths to foreign booths in this fair. Including the Maritime Silk Road Exhibition and quality goods from Taiwan as well as foreign special local products, the Cross-strait Fair for Economy and Trade attracted a number of people from all of China and some of other country. The most impressing product, in my opinion, was the flying carpet from India and the blue stone from Pakistan. In a Thailand booth, I’ve been an interpreter for some girls who cant speak English, which made me feel proud for being an English major student. And the luckiest thing was that we encountered an American businessman whose name is Alex. Alex is a nice guy. We talked with him and knew something about business immigrantion. Whats more, we practiced our oral English and listening, actually.

As far as I am concerned, the Cross-strait Fair for Economy and Trade is just a start. Maybe I will take part in the China Import and Export Fair in Guangzhou in the future. There is a long way for me to go. Now what I need to do is to work hard and improve myself constantly.

Our Trip to the CFET

The most meaningful activity of this semester of our junior year may be the short visit to the Cross-strait Fair of Economy and Trade(CFET). For the purpose of enriching our extracurricular activities and broadening our horizons, our teacher, Grace, applied for the chance of visiting the CFET. Thus, we could have the opportunity to take the short trip to Fuzhou. On the morning of May 21st, we took the high-speed train D8927 which was sent to Fuzhou. Although the weather in that day was not really satisfying, we were all in high spirits with curiosity and expectations. Several hours later, we finally arrived at the international exhibition center and began our visit formally.

The exhibition center mainly includes 10 exhibition halls. Due to the time limit, just visited about 3 halls with my teacher and classmates. It is hardly surprising that products displayed were foods of various kinds, which contented our appetites to some degree. Among those halls, the most impressive one the Taiwan exhibition area. Because CFET concentrates more on the cross-strait area, Taiwan exhibition hall is the highlighted part in this grand exhibition. Apart from attractive products and foods, the CFET also gave me some incentives in the aspect of mind. Free Trade Area of Fuzhou is developing at an incredible speed now, so our future developments are also promising. It is high time that we spared no efforts to improve ourselves to become an all-round person for the aim of making contributions to the FTA as well as struggling for a better future of us. In the end, I want to express my thankfulness to our teacher Grace for giving us this chance to visit CFET.

Report on the 18th Cross-Strait Fair for Economy and Trade

On May 21st, 2016, under the leadership of teacher, I ,along with my classmates, paid a visit to the 18th Cross-Strait Fair for Economy and Trade in Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. This experience impressed me deeply, not only because of the products that exhibited, but also the perception of the various cultures.

As for me, this events has its special meaning for me. In the one hand, this event has shown to us different kinds of products that come from different countries. We can easily perceive the exotic culture here. There are many booths here and among them, the Thailand booth left the deepest impression on my mind. Thai expressed their hospitality to all visitors with their poor Chinese. And they are always full of enthusiasm and energy, which attracted many visitors to buy their products and services. Thais enthusiasm and exaggeration make us feel that language seems no longer a block between the foreigners and Chinese people.

We met a gentleman who comes from America in this fair. He is a businessman and has his own company and designs in promoting for applying the green card, operating training institution, etc .We talked with each other for about one hour. Its a special experience from which Ive practiced my oral English and learned many interesting things that Id never known before.

This visiting is indeed unforgettable. I learned that language studying should not always focus on the knowledge written in books, things that you get from the actual situation and communication will benefit us more.

Report on the 18th Cross-Strait Fair for Economy and Trade

On May 21st , we paid a visit to the 18th Cross-Strait Fair for Economy and Trade in Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center under the leadership of our teacher. For local and central government, it’s an important platform for promoting cross-strait economy and trade as well as the reform and opening-up . For marketers, it’s a great opportunity to develop potential customers and to popularize their brand. And for me, this is an instructive experience to bring the world closer to me. The exhibition hall just likes a bazaar. You can find hundreds of thousands regional special products ranges from foods to crafts from home and abroad. Perhaps the most unforgettable thing in the fair, apart from its general atmosphere, is a Thailand booth where some Thai salesperson bawled beauty products with poor Chinese in an enthusiastic manner. But regretfully, misbehavior of some tourists, such as throwing away rubbish everywhere especially in the Shilin Night Market section, may become headaches of the local government. It’s urgent to promote a healthy and civilized way to travel and to improve the behaviors of the tourists.
