Party A: Ningde Normal  University
Party B: 
Party A wishes to engage the  service of Party B as an English teacher. The two parties, in spirit of friendly  cooperation, agree to sign this contract and pledge to fulfill conscientiously  all the obligations stipulated in it.
Ⅰ. Party A hires Party B as  an English teacher.
Ⅱ.The period of service will  be from August 1st, 2011 to July  31st,2012.
III. Party B shall have  16-18 periods per week. The detail working assignment is as  follows:
1. Giving Oral English,  Business English for the students of Grade I and II, 16 periods per  week.
2. Giving some English  lectures each term for English teachers and students as well as other teaching  staff.
3.    Helping to organize the English Corner  every week.
IV. Party B’s  treatment
1.  Party B’s monthly salary will be  ¥6000 RMB. The salary shall  be paid before 16th each month and be paid in advance at the end of each term.  The salary will be paid from September, 2011 to June, 2012, 10 months in total.  
2. Party B will be paid  ¥4000 RMB plane ticket  subsidies by Party A each school semester and ¥2000 RMB travel bonus each  school year.
3. During employment, Party  A will buy a health insurance and an unforeseen accident insurance respectively  for Party B. Party B shall be responsible for the fee which is excluded in the  insurance.
4. Party A shall be  responsible for Party B’s luggages check procedures when he/she leaves China.  Party A shall pay the check expense.
V. Party A’s  duty
1. To explain the laws,  decrees and relevant regulations enacted by the Chinese government and Party A’s  regulations and rules to Party B. 
2. To carry out arrangement,  direction and supervision of Party B’s work.
3. To provide Party B with  accommodation during teaching at college, including furniture, bedding,  television, refrigerator, air-conditioner, water heater, telephone etc and also  to provide convenience for Party B’s meals and vocation tours.  
4.To pay Party B’s salary in  time.
VI Party B’s  duty
1. To observe the laws,  decrees and relevant regulations enacted by the Chinese government and Party A’s  regulations and rules.
2. To skip the sensitive  issues such as political problems, religion and sex during the teaching  periods.
3. To accept Party A’s  arrangement, direction and supervision in regard of his/her work. Without Party  A’s consent, Party B shall not render service elsewhere or hold concurrently any  posts unrelated to the work agreed on with Party A.
4. To complete the teaching  task in time.
5. To respectChina's religion policy, do not  engage in activities incompatible with the status of an  expert.
6.  To respect the Chinese people's ethics and  customs. 
VII. Changes and termination  of the contract.
1. Both parties should abide  by the contract. Without mutual consent, either party cannot change or terminate  the contract. 
    2. With mutual  consent, the contract can be revised, canceled, or terminated. Without prior  agreement, the contract should be strictly observed. 
    3. In the following circumstances, Party A  is entitled to terminate the contract with a written notice to Party B:  
    1) If Party B neglects the  work without any reason or leaves school before the school year ends or reaches  school late at the beginning of every new semester. If Party B violates the  contract and has failed to remedy  after  Party A has pointed it out, Party A has the right to cancel the contract and  arrange the return trip for him/her in 30 days.
2) According to the doctor’s  diagnosis, Party B cannot resume normal work after a continued 60-day sick  leave. Party A shall arrange the return trip for him/her in 30 days according to  his/her health condition.
4. In the following  circumstances, Party B is entitled to terminate the contract with a written  notice to Party A: 
1) Party A fails to provide  the necessary working and living conditions mentioned in the  contract.
   2) Party A fails to pay in  time.
5. If Party A terminates the contract before it  is due, Party A shall tell Party B 30 days in advance, explain the reason, and  pay for Party B the same salary stipulated in the contract. If Party B  terminates the contract before it is due, Party B should give Party A a written  notice 30 days in advance and explain the reason. When Party A permits, Part B’s  salary and other treatment provided by Party A shall be stopped.  
IX. Breach  
1. If one party cannot  fulfill the contract or the contractual obligations do not conform to the agreed  conditions, the party in breach should pay 2,000 U.S. dollars (or the equivalent  in RMB) to the observing party;
2. If Party B asks to cancel  the contract due to force majeure, he/she should provide relevant proof. With  the Party A's consent, he/she can terminate the contract, Party B should pay all   expense by his/her own; if Party B  terminates the contract without reasons, apart from paying all expense by  his/her own, he/she should pay Party A breach money (according to the preceding  criteria). If Party A asks to cancel the contract due to force majeure, with the  consent of Party B, Party A shall pay for the cost for leaving China; if Party A  terminates the contract without reasons, apart from paying for the cost for  leaving China, Party A should also pay breach money to Party B (according to the  preceding criteria).
X.  Arbitration
When a dispute happens, both  parties shall solve it through a consultation or a mediation. If it fails, both  parties can apply for arbitration from the State Bureau of Foreign Experts  Affairs or an arbitration body.
XI. Other  agreements
1. The facilities in the  dormitory are Party A’s property. If Party B damages them, he/she has to pay for  them at their  original price.  
2. Party B shall pay for  water, electricity, gas and telephone in the apartment.  
3. If Party B neglects the  work without any reason or leaves school before the school year ends or reaches  school late at the beginning of every new term, Party A shall have the right to  deduct a certain part of Party B’s salary as fine (¥100 RMB each day per person)  during those neglected days.
4. Party B shall be  responsible for all the expenses inChinaafter the termination of the  contract.
XII. This contract takes  effect on the date signed by both parties and it will be invalid when it reaches  its scheduled day.  If a party requests a  new contract, it shall be 90 days before the expiration of the contract.  
The contract was signed on  May 13th, 2011 at Ningde Normal  University. It has Chinese  and English copies. Both parties own one copy of the  contract.
